On Saturday, October 13th, international students from the Global BBA & the GLP programs were invited to learn about the Japanese food culture & business at the Maruya Hatcho Miso and the Aiya Matcha factories.
Ms. Svenja Teepe, Double Degree student from EDHEC Business School, France, shares her comments on the visit.
Our students with the President of Maruya Hatcho Miso Co., Ltd., Mr. Asai Shintaro.
"It illustrated once again what Japanese companies are praised for: perfected processes and excellence in the most sophisticated tasks"
"Understanding Japanese culture through its businesses and vice versa is one of the great outcomes of our regular trips at NUCB. Our latest visit to the Hatcho Miso Factory in Okazaki and the Matcha Museum in Nishio not only provided us with insights into traditional Japanese food culture such as miso soup and the huge variety of Matcha green tea-related products (including an interesting tasting), but illustrated once again what Japanese companies are praised for: perfected processes and excellence in the most sophisticated tasks. These trips are an essential part of our experience here in Nagoya."
Each semester, NUCB arranges and subsidizes a comprehensive number of events and excursions to International student in order to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese business practices.
